In Hebrew, Moreshet Echad means One Legacy, and speaks of the interrelated parts of our lives that we pass on to the next generation. This album was an unexpected gift, inspired and birthed by God. It was specifically written with violin in mind. Special thanks to Les Morrison for adding his beautiful and emotional violin harmonies in every song. Through well crafted musical storytelling, this uniquely robust, original song collection addresses some of the questions everyone asks, at various times in our journey through life. What will I be when I grow up? What is my dream and where am I going? What is my hope and how am I knowing? What will my life become, when my time here is done? How do we get free from the weight of guilt and shame? How do we diversify our life investments to assist future generations yet to come? As a part of our legacy, how do we keep it movin’ on from generation to generation, while we honor and remember all those who preceded us? Each day is a gift from God, and is filled with opportunity to replace our weak overwhelming with God’s great overcoming, as we put Him first in all that we do. Let’s take a stand for what is right, and make the dash between our bookend years count for eternity through Messiah and His plan for our lives. Special thanks to my wife, Marlene, and to our daughters, Tovah and Shoshana, for the added vocal sparkle they brought to this musical labor of love.
